Welcome to the FUMC Macon Choir webpage!  Since time immemorial music has been used to praise and proclaim the love and works of the Lord.  Music plays an integral part in worship not only by engaging the congregation for worship, but by also by enthralling us as only music can.

     This webpage will serve as a utility for the choir members by posting weekly rehearsal information and important updates from the choir director.

      Exciting things are happening for the Macon FUMC Chancel choir this fall.  If you are interesting in being a part of the Chancel Choir please contact choral director Michael McCoy or any of the choir members for any information.

  Rehearsal Information for the week of 7-29-09:

  I will be posting the rehearsal schedules as well as other important information for the choir on a weekly basis.  Additional updates may be made if we are working on cantatas, special musicals, and holy week music.

  This week's rehearsal is very important.  Not only are we working on anthems for Sunday morning worship, but also for our annual Ice Cream Social and the 175th Anniversary Celebration.

  I have pulled two new anthems for rehearsal.  When we learn these anthems, we will have learned the anthems for Sunday morning worship through the 23rd of August.

  If time allows we will work on Holy is the Lord (Sunday Anthem), and Great is the Lord Almighty (Great is the Lord Almighty).  I will also be keeping the sopranos for no longer than five minutes to work on music.
