CHRISTMAS DINNER:
MISSISSIPPI METHODIST CHILDREN'S HOMES:

On Wednesday, December 17, 2008, Mrs. Becky Dotson of the Mississippi Methodist Children's Homes gave a program that explained the purpose of the Children's Home as well as describing the activities and programs there. The Mississippi Methodist Children's Homes are in desperate need of many items. Their Wish List for the TWO US PROGRAM (5 teens and 5 babies) include size four diapers, wipes, bottles, and infant supplies. For the older children's stockings, they need Walmart gift cards not larger than $10. Of course, they will gladly accept donations as well. Here is a link to their website for more information about the Methodist Children's Homes. MCH LINK.
Before the program, we all enjoyed turkey and dressing and other delicious food for the church's Christmas dinner. Here are some pictures from that night. CLICK HERE.

The Wise Men (and woman) sing the traditional Christmas song, "We Three Kings" during the Choir's Cantata.
CHRISTMAS CANTATA AND RECEPTION:
The First United Methodist Choir's Cantata was wonderful again this year. Although the choir loft was not filled as full as in year's past, the Choir's program of traditional Christmas carols and Scripture was most beautiful. The reception that followed in the Fellowship Hall was great . . . great food and great fellowship with choir members and guests. Here are a few pictures I took that night.
